Sponsored post | Bring in Spring with Gudrun Sjödén

Iona Bower February 6, 2024

Gudrun Sjödén’s latest collection will inject a burst of joyful colour into your wardrobe, inspired by Swedish seasonal hues

Fall in love with a rich collection that doubles as a nature journal of the diverse Nordic landscape of Sweden, thanks to Gudrun Sjödén’s latest spring offering.

The ethereal palette of northern Sweden inspired ‘Notes From The North’ (pictured below), a playful capsule that evokes midnight sun, snow-capped mountains and cotton flowers. Soft pastels and experimental spray dye techniques create watercolour print effects that evoke spring feelings.

Burst into bloom in the ‘Hepatica’ collection. The small blue flower that signals early spring in Sweden inspired a luscious series of botanical prints in a fresh palette of pink orchid, ink blue and apple green. Create a unique layered look by playing with harmonising and contrasting shades and patterns.

The ‘Southern Spring’ line (pictured below) was inspired by shimmering sandy dunes and rolling fields of rye. The open landscape of Sweden’s southernmost county, Skåne, was captured in a sequence of designs in soft shades and bold accents. Build a versatile and striking spring wardrobe by blending earthy, muted tones with splashes of vibrant brick red and porcelain blue.

Tactile, natural textures of organic cotton, linen and warm alpaca wool blends are ideal for a layered look to suit spring’s ever-changing weather. Gudrun Sjödén has chosen textiles and production techniques that respect the environment, all with a vision to create sustainable clothes that can be enjoyed for years – and generations – to come.

The Simple Things

Taking time to live well

We celebrate slowing down, enjoying what you have, making the most of where you live, enjoying the company of of friends and family, and feeding them well. We like to grow some of our own vegetables, visit local markets, rummage for vintage finds, and decorate our home with the plunder. We love being outdoors and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with a job well done.
