Established in 2011, Blackdown Shepherd Huts lovingly design and build their bespoke hand-crafted living spaces from their workshop in the countryside town of Ilminster, Somerset.
From the outset, Blackdown have been inspired by the shepherd hut’s first creators in Victorian times, when the shepherd, farmer or gamekeeper would build their mobile space with their innate need for flexibility in mind. This inspiration is reflected in Blackdown’s range of designs, like their Modular Turnkey Hut, to name just one of their charming ‘flock’.
