Kick off the new term in style with The Stuff of Life

Our shopkeeper, Louise Gorrod, has that back-to-school feeling. Here, she talks us through her top shop picks.

'As this month draws to a close I start to get that back-to-school feeling. The kids are all set with their new school bags, crisp white shirts and the all-important new pencil case filled with bright stationery.

'Much like the kids with their new pencil cases, I like to ease myself back into my work routine after the summer holidays with a few new bits for my home office. A quick browse through The Stuff of Life shop has provided me with plenty of new-term inspiration.

Books can often take over my desk, so I’m always on the lookout for clever storage. These Book Racks by Agustav, which hangs and displays books, are a stylish and practical storage solution.

'A tidy desk is a productive one and this trio of Kaleidoscope Storage Boxes from Cambridge Imprints will keep things in order, while their beautiful artisanal papers are perfect for covering books and folders.

'Finally I'll treat myself to a new mug for those all those cups of tea that keep me going throughout the working day. This Everyday Large Mug by Emma Lacey will hold a generous brew while being a pleasure to both hold and drink from.'
